Alli Mae Carnes
Alli Mae Carnes is a full-time performer and educator currently pursuing her Master’s in Vocal Pedagogy at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. She holds certifications as a Trauma-Informed Voice Practitioner through the Voice Study Centre (UK), and as a Vocologist and Singing Voice Specialist from New York University. Since moving to NC, Alli Mae has performed with Burning Coal, Justice Theatre Project, Aggregate Theatre, and Theatre in the Park. She has also worked as a choreographer and teaching artist for NCTC, CFRT, Raleigh School of Music, and Raleigh Little Theatre. She is a professor of dance at William Peace University and she teaches voice, acting, and dance through her private studio, The Alli Mae Carnes Studio. Alli Mae is passionate about supporting performers with vocal injuries and incorporating neurodiversity-affirming practices into theatre education, advocating for safe, expressive, and inclusive creative spaces.
