Alexa Hughes

Alexa Hughes (Cello) is thrilled to make her Temple debut. She grew up on Long Island, New York, and earned a Master’s in Music Education from Hofstra University, studying music education. Alexa has played the cello for nearly 30 years and also performs on violin, viola, and bass. She has taught many talented students who have gone on to pursue professional music careers. Alexa currently lives in Sanford, where she serves as the orchestra and show choir director at LCHS. She thanks her husband Justin, her own ‘Bright Stars’ Oliver and Finn, her parents/in-laws and especially her students for always inspiring her.
