Temple Teen Ensemble 2023-2024

The Temple Teen Ensemble is a performance group representing the best of the best of the many talented young singers, dancers and actors in the Sanford and central North Carolina region. These “triple-threats,” aged 13-18, are selected by audition and then devote their extra-curricular time and energy to honing and refining their talents under the instruction of the professional artists on the staff of Sanford’s acclaimed Temple Theatre.

Let Temple Teens bring the Best of Broadway and beyond to liven up your private or public event! Live performance without an audience is nothing more than a rehearsal, and Temple Teens is looking for performance opportunities.

Temple Teen History

Since its creation 17 years ago by Temple Theatre’s Producing Artistic Director, Peggy Taphorn, the Temple Teen Ensemble has charmed audiences at a wide variety of events and venues all over the region—downtown tree lightings, fairs, Rotary and Kiwanis Club meetings, service meetings, hospitals, retirement communities—with song-and-dance programs of hits from Broadway shows and numbers from Temple Theatre’s current season.

These highly entertaining programs run anywhere from a half hour to a full hour and are free of cost (though Temple Teens gratefully accepts donations to minimize sound and transportation costs).
