Temple Theatre Summer Conservatories are among the most respected youth programs in North Carolina. The Temple staff and professional guests artists provide instruction that promotes creativity, teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence. These full day summer conservatories culminate in a fully produced mainstage show. Most of all, it is fun!

Youth Audition for Summer Conservatory will be April 27, 2026 from 4PM-7PM. Register below. Auditions for 2026 Summer Conservatory are for casting purposes ONLY. All students will be cast in the shows that require auditions. Registration must be paid before auditions.

Summer Sessions

MUSICAL THEATRE CONSERVATORY SESSION 1
Fiddler on the Roof Jr. will take center stage as this year’s featured production in our two-week, full-day Musical Theatre Conservatory for students ages 8–18. Participants will audition on the first day of the session and spend two exciting weeks rehearsing and preparing for a fully staged musical production presented before a live audience. This two-week session is priced at $450 and will be held Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The program will conclude with final performances on June 12–13.


JUNIOR MUSICAL THEATRE CONSERVATORY
This is an audition-only, one-week, full-day performance conservatory for ages 8–13 that culminates in a fully staged production performed in front of a live audience. Participants are accepted by audition only. Our 2026 Junior Musical Theatre Conservatory will feature Madagascar: A Musical Adventure JR. will run as a one week session from June 15-20. Tuition for the session is $300. The program will conclude with performances on June 19-20. Monday through Friday from 10AM-4:30PM.


TEEN MUSICAL THEATRE CONSERVATORY
This is an audition-only, two-week, full-day performance conservatory for ages 14–18 that culminates in a fully staged production performed in front of a live audience. Participants are accepted by audition only. Our production of High School Musical will run from June 22 through July 3. Tuition for the two-week session is $450. The program will be held Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM and will conclude with final performances on July 2–3.


SHAKESPEARE THEATRE CONSERVATORY
This is an audition-only, two-week performance conservatory for students ages 13–18. Participants will attend classes and rehearsals led by Temple staff and professional guest instructors. The program culminates in a fully staged production performed in front of a live audience. Applicants are accepted by audition only. Our production of The Tempest will run from July 6 through July 18. Tuition for the two-week session is $450. The program will be held Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM and will conclude with final performances on July 17–18.


MUSICAL THEATRE CONSERVATORY SESSION 2

This session will run from July 31 through August 1. Tuition for the session is $450. The program will be held Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM and will conclude with final performances on July 31–August 1.


RISING STARS (4-7)
A fun and engaging introduction to theatre for young performers ages 4–7. Students explore their three acting tools — Body, Voice, and Imagination — while building confidence through creative play, storytelling, song, and dance. These six one week sessions are available from June 1-July 10. The program will be held Monday through Friday from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Tuition for this session is priced at $100.
